So to distract oppo with actual important things, wife going there on business next week and I cannot seem to figure out what power outlet socket to expect so I can buy her Dell the right cord... Anyone know for sure?

You dont need a special cord. Just a $2 little adapter. And most businesses and hotels probably have universal sockets that take the most popular styles.

Where exactly will she use the Dell? If she is using it @ a western hotel(Hyaat, Marriott, etc.) chances are they have110v outlets.

I was there last summer. Bought a 220v-110v converter on amazon for about $25. Worked like a charm.
